EMC Test Center (for testing electromagnetic compatibility)

Dortmund can boast of being one of the most efficient service centers for electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) in Europe. The EMC of an instrument or plant involves, on the one hand, limiting the emission of electromagnetic disturbances; on the other hand it means guaranteeing a sufficient amount of stability to resist external electromagnetic disturbances.

These basic demands are at the core of European EMC guidelines and the German EMC laws derived from them. Manufacturers are duty-bound to fulfill these demands by signing an EU declaration of conformity and documenting the CE labelling of their products.
